Liquid Medicine Dosage Caps

Administering correct dosages of liquid medicines is a global problem. Researchers have discovered that as much as 63% of patients consistently administer liquid medicines incorrectly, in spite of having received written prescription and verbal dosage instructions[1]. Incorrect dosages can result in numerous problems. Patients that receive too little of a drug may fail to receive the treatment that they have been prescribed. Patients that receive too much of a prescribed drug may develop undesirable side-effects.

The utensils that are sold with liquid medicines often fail to provide the proper dosages. Measuring cups, syringes and measuring spoons are frequently provided in product packaging yet they have a tendency to disappear. Re-use of these measuring devices represents a contamination and hygienic risk for users. There is also an added production costs for liquid medicine manufacturers when packing separate measuring devices.

Kitchen spoons (tablespoons & teaspoons) are often used, but are not uniform and can result in as much as a +/- 20% variation in dosages.

After extensive discussions with pharmaceutical manufacturers, CapsTECHNOLOGY has developed caps that are permanently attached directly to the bottles and which provide exact dosages of liquids, minimize spill and contamination from air or foreign particles.

Fuel Caps

Hand-held containers for fuel and industrial fluids often lack effective caps and extension spouts. The result is spillage, waste, evaporation, potential environmental damage and inefficient use of time. CapsTECHNOLOGY has developed several different caps and spouts especially for industrial fluids and fuel. These caps provide a user the ability to pour fuel and industrial fluids from hand-held containers (typically 4, 10 and 20 liters) with a minimum of spillage, waste and time.
